Overview
Green Software Practices™ (GSP™) is a certification program operated by GreenSeal.dev that assesses organizational practices for energy-efficient and sustainable software and AI systems.
- GSP™ Level 1 – Self-Assessed: companies complete a self-assessment checklist.
- GSP™ Level 2 – Verified: requires submission of supporting evidence and manual validation.
- GSP™ Level 3 – Verified+: includes verification and consultative support.
Scope of Certification
GSP™ certification evaluates practices and processes, not individual software products. Certification does not guarantee specific energy or carbon reductions, regulatory compliance, or legal compliance. Certification reflects practices at the time of assessment.
Self-Assessment Accuracy
By submitting the Level 1 Self-Assessed form, the company confirms: “The information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.” Any intentional misrepresentation or falsification of information may result in immediate revocation of certification and may be subject to further legal action.
Use of the Badge
Certified companies may use the GSP™ badge only if they meet the criteria for the level earned. The badge may only be displayed as provided, with a clickable link to the verification page. Unauthorized use, alteration, or misrepresentation of the badge may result in revocation of certification.
Intellectual Property
GSP™ and all related materials are the intellectual property of GreenSeal, Lda., including badges, checklists, and documentation. All materials, checklists, and badges remain the property of GreenSeal.dev. Use of materials outside the certification program requires explicit permission.
Limitation of Liability
GreenSeal.dev does not guarantee, warrant, or assume responsibility for any outcomes resulting from certified practices, including business, technical, environmental, or regulatory results. Certification is for informational and benchmarking purposes only.
Privacy
All data submitted will be handled according to GreenSeal.dev Privacy Policy. Information may be used in aggregated, anonymized reports for benchmarking and public insights.
